description: This article will detail how a referee assignor requests access to an event. This is the first step in the assigning process. An assignor would not be able to see schedules or assign without the appropriate access to the event and the subsequent field and age division permissions. Please contact the event director first if you do not see a field or age group. You will want to have your assignor organization account created or have an assignor role with the club/organization that you will be assigned for.

# Assignors - Requesting Access to an Event
### Overview:
**This article will instruct the Referee Assignor or Assigning Organization on how to request access to an event.**
Note: The Assignor can also be added directly to an event by an event director or club administrator.
**Step 1:**
In your assignor account, click on the "Referees" module on the left navigation menu, and click "Assigning".
**Step 2:**
Click on "Events" at the top of the page, and then click the "Search Events" option.
**Step 3:**
Enter the event information in the provided fields and click "Search".
Once the event is located, click the "View Event" button. This will redirect you to the event request page.
**Step 4:**
Click the "Send Assignor Request" button to send a notification to the event that you would like to be approved to assign the event.
A green banner will across the screen, with your request listed below the "Requested Assigning Events" section.
The event will approve or deny your assigning request' approving your request will list the event below the "Current Assigning Events" section, while denying your request will remove your request from the "Events" page.
**Reviewing Event Approval:** Events that the assignor is approved for and are currently active will will display below the "Current Assigning Events" section. Events that the assignor has requested access to will be displayed in the "Requested Assigning Events" section. Events that have ended will display below the "Show Past Events" section.
