As an Event Director - Create and Edit a Draft Schedule: Backup Schedules
Overview: This article will guide an event director to create a backup schedule (a draft schedule) without making any changes to the current published schedule.
Instructions:
Step 1:
- Navigate to the event that you are updating and go to Scheduling > Backup Schedules
Step 2:
- Create a backup schedule by clicking "Backup Schedule" and saving the new cloned schedule. This example names the backup schedule Version 1 - Backup.
Now that the Backup Schedule is saved, you will see it under your Scheduling > Backup Schedule tab.
Step 3.
- Once you have created and saved the backup schedule, you can now edit or schedule matches just as you would with the primary schedule.
- Navigate to your Primary Schedule > Match Chart or Match List to schedule the games in the designated schedule
- The screenshot below directs you to change the schedule that will be worked on.
**NOTE: Make sure to select the correct schedule that you want to update. Updating the primary schedule will also change anything that is already published.
Step 4.
- Now that you have updated the backup schedule, you can make this the active/Primary schedule.
- Navigate to your Scheduling > Backup Schedule tab, and "Make Primary"
- To Publish, follow the same steps as you would have with the previous default schedule.
