Chat Permissions based on your role:
- Parents can message their child's coaches and managers — but not other parents or players, and they can't create group chats.
- Coaches and managers can message anyone on their team — parents, players, and staff — and can create custom group chats.
- Club admins can message across the entire club, and have an exclusive tool for building club-wide group chats by role, gender, and age group.
Overview:
No matter your role, the Chat screen works the same way. Here's what you'll see when you open it:
- Contacts — Browse people's profiles and contact info. (Use this to look someone up; use the compose button to actually start a chat.)
- Unread filter — Show only conversations with new, unread messages.
- Team Chats filter — Show only your official team chats (the ones with the green star).
- Unread message badge — The red number shows how many unread messages a conversation has.
- Game chat indicator — This chat is linked to a Game on the Schedule. (The badge colors tell you the type: Event, Game, or Training.)
- Compose button — Start a new chat. Tap here to pick who you want to message.
Muting Conversations

To mute a conversation to stopped receiving notifications for that specific chat. You can press and hold on the chat for a few seconds. A new modal will appear that confirms you're intention to mute the chat.
- After clicking Mute, a silenced bell icon will appear next to chat that has been silenced.
